ST. CHARLES – A new high end sports bar called Flagship on the Fox plans to locate in part of a building on South Riverside Avenue in downtown St. Charles that previously housed Prime Bistro as well as River Rockhouse and Chord on Blues.

A vacant building overlooking the Fox River may soon be home to an upscale sports bar in downtown St. Charles.
Flagship on the Fox is expected to open this spring at 100 S. Riverside Ave., where an extensive interior and exterior renovation is under way, police Chief James Keegan told city aldermen Tuesday. The property, which has been sitting empty for several years, previously housed Danny's Corner Pocket and the Chord on Blues venue.
ST. CHARLES, IL - A new sports bar is coming to the Fox River in St. Charles. Owner Steve Mayer says Flagship on the Fox is shooting for an opening date before April.
"Our true goal would be to open for St. Patrick's Day," Mayer said. "We are a sports bar, so if we could be open for the first weekend of March Madness, too, that would be great for us."
